How Cilest Works

Levels of oestrogen and progesterone change throughout the menstrual cycle. These changes are essential for ovulation. The active ingredients of Cilest mimic naturally occurring sex hormones in women. It delivers steady level of oestrogen and progesterone inhibiting ovulation. Norgestimate component of the pill also makes the cervical mucus more viscous making it difficult for sperms to reach the ovum. The net effect of these effects is prevention of pregnancy.
